Denmark — Black-Steel Piping Welding & Workshop Prefabrication

Client: Euro Industries A/S (main contractor) Site: Danish workshop Industry: Industrial piping prefabrication Period: Multi-week campaign Services: Pipe Prefabrication · Industrial Welding

Context

Euro Industries A/S is a Danish industrial partner we engaged for workshop prefabrication scope in Denmark. MIDAS welders and pipefitters were deployed to a Danish prefabrication workshop for multi-week carbon (black) steel piping production.

Prefabrication campaigns of this kind serve downstream industrial installations — pipe spools are cut, bevelled, fitted, and welded in a controlled shop environment under QC conditions, then shipped to site for mechanical installation. This model shortens site-critical path and reduces site-exposure time for the welding crew.

Scope

Four-week workshop prefab campaign delivered in Denmark:

  • Carbon steel pipe spool prefabrication for industrial installations
  • Cutting, bevelling, fit-up, welding, and visual inspection
  • Multi-discipline crew — welders and pipefitters on the same scope
  • Weld map documentation and spool numbering for site install coordination
  • Load-out for transport to downstream client installation site

Approach

Material flow. Material was supplied by the main contractor, with heat-number traceability maintained against the spool list. Spools were numbered and logged on receipt, matched to the isometric package, and staged by production sequence.

Welder allocation. TIG root / MAG fill-cap methodology on carbon steel, with welders qualified to EN ISO 9606-1 for the applicable thickness and diameter ranges. Daily production targets were tracked against the isometric spool count.

Documentation discipline. Every spool left the shop with a test pack: WPS referenced, weld map filled in, welders signed off, visual inspection recorded.

Outcome

The Danish prefab campaign demonstrated MIDAS workshop-mode delivery — crews embedded into a Danish-based main contractor’s production flow, producing documented pipe spools under a certified welding regime.
